The five volumes of the series – their titles and book covers.

Volume 1

Approx. 155, 901 words

Secrets don’t stay buried forever.

Katarine Wellnsburg was never meant to live quietly behind manor walls.

Heiress to one of the most powerful families of the 1600s, she is as skilled with a sword as she is at navigating ships — and far more curious than society allows. When confinement becomes unbearable, Katarine and her loyal friends, aided by her mischievous Aunt Hedvika, devise a daring escape from the estate.

But freedom comes at a price.

What begins as a bold adventure quickly entangles them in secrets whispered through the corridors of power — secrets that suggest their world is far more dangerous than they imagined.

Steel will clash. Loyalties will be tested. And Katarine must decide whether she is ready to claim not just her freedom — but her destiny.

A thrilling blend of mystery, swordplay, humor, and high-stakes adventure set in the turbulent 17th century.

A stolen name. A hidden heir. A destiny quietly unfolding.

After fleeing the manor and secretly marrying her childhood sweetheart, Martrek, Katarine believes she has finally gained her freedom. But joy becomes fragile when she gives birth to twins.

In the chaos of fever and whispered errors, one child disappears.

Christopher is taken. Renamed. Raised as another boy — Febien.

And no one knows.

As shadows gather around the family, a mysterious woman dressed as a nun enters their lives. She calls herself a Godmother. She speaks softly — but her eyes seem to see beyond time itself.

While Katarine fights to protect what remains, unseen forces begin shaping a path that will one day reveal a truth too powerful to stay hidden.

Volume 3

Approx. 131, 864 words

Some secrets grow with you.

Years pass, and two children raised on the same estate grow up side by side—unaware of the truth that unites them.

Febien, brave and restless, feels an inexplicable bond with Elizabeth. He can’t name it, only that he wants to protect her—and one day he promises to marry her when they grow up.

But danger is mounting behind the walls of the estate.

The noblewoman who once stole the child now fears discovery. Desperate to protect her secret, she plots to banish Katarina’s family—unaware that Katarina herself bears a far greater noble lineage than she suspected.

As loyalties crumble and suspicions grow, fate moves silently through the halls—guided by a watchful godmother who knows that the truth must one day come to light.

Volume 4

Approx. 151, 431 words

At eighteen, Febien’s world collapses with the sound of shattering glass.

Leaving the fencing hall with his brother Federik, he accidentally damages a small framed painting — behind which, a letter waits. This letter uncovers the truth of his birth, his name, and his stolen past.

“Christopher.”

Betrayed by silence and afraid that revealing the truth will ruin Elizabeth’s family—his parents—Febien runs away from the estate in the dead of night, heading to France.

His disappearance destroys the mansion. Federik knows nothing and cannot bear losing his brother. Elizabeth, desperate for answers as well , leaves with her loyal friend Patricia, determined not to let destiny slip away again.

The journey will require more than bravery — it will demand the truth.

And now, two Godmothers are watching.

Because what was stolen must be taken back. Cannot remain hidden forever. The mystery tightens. And destiny awaits.

Volume 5

Approx. 147, 440 words

A mysterious map

Just when every secret seems uncovered and old rivalries have finally faded, Federik believes his greatest battle is behind him. He no longer has to compete with his old-new brother, Christopher-Febien, for the heart of the beautiful Elizabeth—she is finally his. But peace does not sit well with restless hearts.

Ever since their friend Captain Gewery gave them a mysterious map of the distant Turtle Islands as a gift for saving his life—telling them that pearls grow there as large as nuts—the brothers, together with Elizabeth and Patricia, cannot forget the promise of adventure. Each time they glance at the rolled parchment, their blood begins to race and their hands instinctively reach for the hilts of their swords.

Adventure is calling once again.

With loyal allies beside them—and under the noble pretext of escorting their new friend Fahiram, the fearless Indian princess who wields samurai swords as effortlessly as they guide the reins of their horses and swords —Count Wellnsburg grants them one of his magnificent ships. Their voyage begins with hope and excitement.

But when they finally reach the legendary islands, joy quickly turns to terror. Pirates attack, chaos erupts.
And suddenly they find themselves stranded on the deserted Turtle Islands, stripped of everything and surrounded by danger.

Will they survive the nightmare of the deserted islands?
Will they ever return to their family?
And what secrets are still hidden behind the mysterious godmothers who seem to guide their fate from afar?

For Federik and his companions, the journey to the Turtle Islands may become the adventure that changes their destiny forever.
